HC Teams Receive 2008 NCAA Public Recognition Awards
Fifteen Holy Cross varsity athletic teams have received Division I Academic Progress Rate public recognition awards from the NCAA. These teams posted multi-year APR scores in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports. The public recognition awards are part of the broad Division I academic reform effort. The Crusader programs to be honored with public recognition awards were baseball, men's basketball, women's basketball, women's cross country, football, men's golf, women's golf, women's lacrosse, softball, men's swimming and diving, women's swimming and diving, men's tennis, women's indoor track and field, women's outdoor track and field, and volleyball. The women's cross country squad was one of 15 Holy Cross teams honored for its academic work.
 
Claire Luke was one of 14 Crusaders named to the Academic Honor Roll.

Crusaders Place 14 On Honor Roll
Holy Cross placed 14 athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the conference office. Leading the Crusaders was Stephanie Stoneback with a 3.94 GPA for the fall semester. Joining Stoneback on the honor roll were Elizabeth Alizzi, Kristin Burke, Rose Calvo, Ariana Coniglio, Meghan Dunne, Allison Fimognari, Jacqueline Imse, Claire Luke, Meghan Lytle, Margaret Molloy, Emily Nassetta, Caitlin Paluilis and Suzanne Wallace. HC Competes In Regional Meet
The NCAA New England regional cross country took place on Saturday, hosted by Harvard University. The Crusaders sent 13 athletes to compete in the meet, seven on the women's team six on the men's. The women would take 22nd place with a score of 649. Leading the women Crusaders was junior Caitlin Paluilis in 101st place with a time of 22:48.35. Following her was junior Elizabeth Alizzi in 115th place with a time of 23:02.20. (more)
