Women's Swimming & Diving Places 12 On Honor Roll
Twelve members of the Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team have been selected to the 2008 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office, including senior Erica Archer (Schenectady, N.Y.) who earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average in the spring semester. Archer was one of just nine members of the women's swimming and diving honor roll to record a 4.0. Holy Cross' 12 selections were tied for the third most in the league. (more)

Holy Cross Announces Team Awards
The Holy Cross swimming and diving team and head coach Barry Parenteau have announced the end of the season team awards for 2007-2008. Chris Smith and Maggie Gousman were given the Most Valuable Swimmer awards, while Brian Lasonde and Lauren Tatro received the Most Improved awards. The Outstanding Season awards went to David Drummond, Ryan Boate, Ian MacLaren, Rachel Quaden, Alisha Carrazza and Gael Carter. (more)

The mens swimming and diving squad was one of 15 Holy Cross teams honored for its academic work.

HC Receives Public Recognition Award
Fifteen Holy Cross varsity athletic teams have received Division I Academic Progress Rate public recognition awards from the NCAA. These teams posted multi-year APR scores in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports. The public recognition awards are part of the broad Division I academic reform effort. The APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success each semester by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete. (more)
