Felipe Castrillon Named Patriot League Rookie Of The Week

Sept. 20, 2005

Worcester, Mass. - Holy Cross men's soccer player Felipe Castrillon (Weston, Fla.) was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week for games played through September 18, as announced by conference officials today. This is Castrillon's second consecutive Rookie of the Week nod.

Castrillon helped Holy Cross to a 2-0 week last week after tallying two goals, including the game-winner, in the Crusaders' 3-1 win over Sacred Heart last Wednesday. He is currently in a four-way tie for first in the Patriot League in goals (four) and is in a three-way tie for second in the League in total points (eight). He has played in four of Holy Cross' six games this season, and has made three starts.

The Crusaders have won four straight games and own a 4-2 overall record so far this season. They will put their winning streak on the line today, when they travel to Northeastern for a 3:00 p.m. match-up with the Huskies.

Holy Cross opens up Patriot League play on Saturday, September 24 when it travels to Bucknell for a 1:00 p.m. showdown.
