Holy Cross Men's Soccer Travels To Barcelona
Shortly after the completion of final examinations this spring, the Holy Cross men's soccer team embarked on a trip to Barcelona, Spain, home of FC Barcelona and one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world. It was from here that Ferdinand and Isabella launched Christopher Columbus on his exploration to the new world. This trip was one year in the planning and organized by Harvard Sports Management. The trip was made possible by the generosity of numerous alumni and friends of the College. For six nights and seven days, the student-athletes were provided the opportunity to visit this incredible city and compete against outstanding talent in Spain and Southern France. (more)

Higgins Named Assistant Coach
Holy Cross has named Jason Higgins as its new assistant men's soccer coach, as announced by head coach Elvis Comrie and athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr. Higgins joins the Crusaders after spending last year as the head coach of the Northern Mariana Islands men's and women's national teams. He directed all aspects of the commonwealth's soccer federation, and led the men's and women's teams to their first-ever victories in international competition. (more)

Holy Cross Names Team Captains
The Holy Cross men's soccer team has announced Andreas Andrews, Jerry Dickinson and Alejandro Melean as the 2008 team captains. A midfielder, Andrews has made 44 career appearances and 42 starts for the Crusaders. Last year, he recorded five goals and one assist for 11 points, tying him for second on the team in total points and goals scored. Andreas netted two game-winning goals last season against Patriot League opponents, Lehigh and Navy. (more)
